Pride Toronto Planner: Events, Artists & Schedules

Toronto's Pride Week is one of the largest Pride's in the world, recognized worldwide as one of the premier arts and cultural festivals in Canada. Pride Week 2008 from June 20th to June 29th 2008 will feature 10 spectacular days and nights of programming throughout the city of Toronto, and will end with the famous three day Pride Street Festival from Friday June 27th to Sunday June 29th 2008.

the colours of the rainbow; from our exotic diversity to the amazing talents and brilliance of our strengths contributed by all.  Come witness and experience one of the world’s best Pride Parades, as we promise to transport you into a world filled with music, creativity, passion and, pride.

Enjoy what the Pride Festival has to offer then marvel as downtown Toronto comes to life in a parade spectacular that is uniquely Toronto.  Join International Grand Marshal, Gareth Henry, Parade Grand Marshal, Enza Anderson and Honoured Group, Friends for Life Bike Rally, as they
guide the LGBTTIQQ2S communities through our amazing stories of equality, respect, diversity, honour, love and acceptance.   Discover that dreams do come true when you experience a pride story that is as big as your own heart and courage.
 
                Pride Parade 2008, “UNIFIED!” begins at 2 pm – Sunday, June 29th and travels west on Bloor St. between Church and Yonge, south on Yonge St. from Bloor to Gerrard, and east on Gerrard St. to Church.

  • Wear sunscreen or a hat and drink lots of water!
     
  • Use Party Poppers instead of water guns.  Costumes are often rented and not always waterproof.
     
  • Use Noise Makers such as maracas, instruments, whistles, or clappers.  Water balloons only hurt people and cause damage to floats and sound equipment, it is strictly prohibited.
     
  • Be considerate to your pets – remember it’s hot for them too!
