She opened the first shop in Victoria in 1994, the second location in Duncan in September 1999 and the third in 2002 in Courtenay. All three stores boast the largest selection of amazing and fun sex toys, sensuous massage oils, chocolate body paints, Kama Sutra products, seductive lingerie and educational books and videos. The Romance shop believes that access to sexual materials, and accurate sex information promotes health and happiness.

Romance home parties were developed as a need for accurate honest information was identified. Ms. Romance has developed an extremely popular educational seminar, which she provides free of charge. She has hosted over 1000 parties. Over the past six years she has personally met and educated thousands of people leading them in the direction of achieving higher levels of pleasure.

The Romance shop is proud that it is a family business, women owned and operated. The Victoria store is managed by daughter in law Linda and Ms. Romance’s daughter Wendi oversees the 1400 square foot store in Duncan.
